The police report the arrest at 8 p.m. By then, the suspects had been at large for approximately four hours.
They are both charged with the theft from Mestergull in Tønsberg and have been taken to custody.
Jewelery of great value was stolen. The jewelery was kept inside a display case, but the thieves still managed to steal it.
– We have gone through the video footage and have pretty good pictures of the suspects, operations manager Jan Tore Gregersen told NRK this afternoon.
According to the police, the men should not have behaved threateningly towards the employees.
– We currently do not have an overview of how large the values are, said Gregersen.
Tattoo on the neck
It was the employees themselves who reported the theft.
The thefts are said to have occurred at 4 p.m.
The police issued the following appeal after the theft:
One suspect is described as a man with a normal build, a triangular tattoo on his neck, fair skin, short hair, a black cap, a long black down jacket and white shoes, they write.
The other is described as a man with a normal build, short-cut dark hair, light skin, a long black down jacket with a round label on the shoulder and the words “Explorer” on the back and white Nike shoes.
