Large search operation for man missing from care home in Meldal – NRK Trøndelag – Local news, TV and radio

The police reported the find just before half past nine on Saturday night.

The relatives of the deceased have been notified.

The man had not been accounted for for many hours.

– There has been no contact with the man since ten o’clock this morning, said operations manager at the police in Trøndelag, Trond Hangaas to NRK earlier tonight.

Large exploration crews

Helicopters and ambulances searched in the area Storås, Meldal and Løkken.

The police, fire brigade, health personnel and rescue helicopter participated in the search for the man.

Crews from Norwegian People’s Aid, the Red Cross, the Scouts’ emergency services and Norwegian Rescue Dogs were also deployed in the search operation.

MISSED SINCE SATURDAY MORNING: The man in his late 60s has been missing from a care home since 10.00 on Saturday morning. Helicopters are widely used in the search for the man.
