On April 26 this year, a construction worker came across some bones in a field in Sutton-in-Ashfield. The police were called and the area was cordoned off while the rest of the skeleton was dug up.
Now, one month later, the police announce that they have started a large-scale murder investigation. It reports, among others BBC.

The reason why they are now investigating the case as murder is due to the injuries they have found on the skeleton. They also assume that someone buried the body to hide it.

In collaboration with a group of specialists, the police have also managed to determine the gender and age of the victim.
The bones originate from a man aged 40 to 60 who is between 162 and 167 centimeters tall.
Asking for tips
Along with the remains, the police also found a pair of different socks, one completely black and one with a pattern, as well as a pair of men’s shoes.
