The CGT union of the hospital center calls for a rally and mobilization tomorrow, Thursday February 16, at 5.30 p.m., in front of the hospital and communicates.
“Following a general meeting of staff at the initiative of the CGT health union at the Decazeville hospital center, a mobilization was voted to alert to the urgency of reopening the operating room. After the fire in May, this service opened for a month in November before closing its doors for lack of anesthesiologists and IADE”.
A situation, insists the union, which “is no longer acceptable and will cause the population of our territory to lengthen the treatment times, particularly in terms of screening (colonoscopy for example), follow-up and diagnosis, but also for everything concerning minor outpatient surgery.Despite our letters, our meetings with the management, our requests for medical signposting and the provision of a few hours of anesthesiologists from the CH of Rodez or the GHT, to date, the doors of the Block operating room always remain closed”
Laboratory
The CGT union of the hospital center assures it: “The end of the cooperation between the CH of Decazeville and Figeac plus the departure of the biologist who asserts these rights to the scheduled retirement by July makes us fear the worst for this However, since May 2021, we have been alerting the ARS and our departments to the consequences and repercussions of such decisions for the future of this service”.
Emergency department and RIST law
“An article of this law concerns the capping of the level of remuneration for temporary medical workers. The emergency departments of the Decazeville hospital have been operating for years with regular temporary emergency workers. This article of law that the Minister of Health wants make it applicable at the beginning of April can destabilize this service.
Everything must be done to facilitate the positioning of emergency physicians in our hospital because, for everyone’s safety, it is essential to maintain the 2 lines of duty for this service, day and night, for a service open 24 hours a day. !
We must give the hospital all the means so that it continues to carry out its missions with all of its services. The safety of our people is at stake.”
