Large police operation: Man stabbed

LAST: A person has been arrested and taken into custody. Forensic technicians are still working on the spot, the police report just before 3 o’clock.

Late Sunday night, the police stated on Twitter and to Dagbladet that a man in his 30s had been shot and injured on an open street in Bredtvetveien in Oslo.

– He is being treated by an ambulance and has been shot once or several times, said operations manager Gjermund Stokkli to Dagbladet.

At 02.20 the police turn around. In a Twitter message, the Oslo police write that the investigations of the victim in hospital indicate that he was stabbed / cut with a knife.

– No injuries have been found that are compatible with the shots, confirms operations manager Christian Krohn Engeseth to Dagbladet.

He says that forensic technicians are working at the site and that so far no indication has been found that shots were fired at the site.

– There were reports of bangs, I do not know where they came from. But so far there is no indication that the victim has gunshot wounds.

Police are still searching for the perpetrators.

At 01.20 on Monday night, the police task leader on the spot, Erik Hestvik, told the press that the police do not consider this a coincidence.

– A person has been taken to hospital and is receiving treatment. He is not life-threateningly injured. We are searching for two or more perpetrators seen in the area.

Silver gray car

Earlier in the evening, operations manager Stokkli said that the police had received information that they may have run off in a car. Hestvik later said that in connection with the action, a silver-gray station wagon has been seen, which the police want information about.

– It is seen leaving the area, so all movements in the area Bredtvetveien of such a car is interesting to the police.

If anyone has observations that may be relevant to the case, the police encourage the public to call 02800.

Technical and tactical investigations are taking place at the scene.

– We have active measures out in the city and have some hypotheses we work from. At the moment, this appears to us as an incident with a relationship between those involved, Hestvik said.

Heard noise

According to Dagbladet’s reporter, the police blocked off 200-300 meters of Bredtvetveien, and questioned witnesses on the spot. The police had also closed the E6 all the way into Oslo, and with many armed guards, from the entrance to the Trosterud tunnel, according to the reporter.

The police also searched with dogs around the crime scene, which is located right next to Bredtveit prison.

Dagbladet has been in contact with a witness who witnessed parts of the incident. The person, who lives in the area, heard quarrels and quarrels between several people. The witness then claims to have heard that shots were fired.

The witness saw three people running from the scene. The person in question has also given an explanation to the police.

A source tells Dagbladet that the street at the scene is a known place for drug sales. There must also have been a lot of unrest in criminal circles in the area since last year.
