Large police forces participated on Thursday afternoon in the hunt for a 55-year-old man who is accused of being behind the explosion in a block of flats in Gothenburg on Tuesday morning. According to several Swedish newspapers, the police are looking for the man at an address they have linked to the suspected 55-year-old.
According to the sources, the man addressed a bomb threat to the Swedish emergency number. Police and health personnel are in place outside the relevant address where, among other things, there is a doctor’s office which was evacuated on Thursday afternoon.

– At the present time, we handle this as a real threat, says spokeswoman Anna Göransson in the police to Expressen at 15.30.
The national bomb squad is involved.
The police have not confirmed any connection between the threat to the health center and the explosion in the residential building in Annedal early Tuesday morning.
– We look at all aspects of the case, but at this stage it is not possible to say whether there is any connection or not, says Göransson.
On Thursday afternoon, a large area by the doctor’s office, which is located in Olivedal near the burnt – out block Annedal, was cordoned off. Pictures show both police, ambulance and rescue crews on site.
