Large load of coke between mangoes and cars in the port of Rotterdam | Inland

On Thursday, customs officials found 300 kilos of cocaine in a container with cars from Panama. The container was destined for a company in Budapest.

The day before, 149 kilos of cocaine was discovered in a container with mangoes from Peru. The fruit was destined for a company in Belgium. Presumably that company has nothing to do with the smuggling. In total it comes to almost 450 kilos.

The batches of narcotics have been destroyed. The drug finds were made during a series of checks in the port of Rotterdam by the HARC team, a collaboration of customs, FIOD and the Seaport Police, among others.

As far as is known, no arrests have been made.

Two suspects were arrested in Oostzaan on Wednesday after 180 kilos of soft drugs were discovered in a business space on the Haal. They are a 50-year-old man from Purmerend and a 22-year-old man from Oostzaan.
