The drugstore chain Rossman is pulling the ripcord and opposing Tesla. The reason is the political involvement of its boss Elon Musk.

Rossmann CEO opposes Musk and Tesla: “Focus on alternative manufacturers and models”
“Supporting the re-election of Donald Trump by buying a Tesla […] is – to put it mildly – not a good idea,” Raoul Roßmann explained in a LinkedIn post the day before the company’s official announcement. He shared a screenshot of another post that said: “When you buy a Tesla, you get a car with many features – and an environmentally harmful climate denier supporter in the back seat.”
From now on, Rossmann will no longer purchase Tesla cars for its fleet and will rely on “alternative manufacturers and models” for future orders, the drugstore chain announced on Tuesday, August 6. The company intends to continue using the existing inventory “for reasons of sustainability and resource conservation.”
Elon Musk openly supports Donald Trump – but denies campaign donations
Elon Musk is an avowed supporter of former President and re-US presidential candidate Donald Trump. After the assassination attempt on Trump, Musk declared on X: “I fully support President Trump and hope for his speedy recovery.” He also shared fake videos about the Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.
The Tesla boss is also said to be supporting the Republican candidate’s election campaign financially. US election 2024 support – with up to 45 million US dollars per month. Musk wants to donate this sum to a group founded just a few months ago, “America PAC”, which is campaigning for Trump’s return to the White House. Wall Street Journal reported in July. Elon Musk himself denies the report. In fact, however, he himself stated that he had founded a “PAC or Super PAC”, i.e. organizations to finance election campaigns.
