In Nederweert, a large fire rages in a stable complex where pigs are kept.
The fire broke out around 2 p.m. According to regional broadcaster 1Limburg about 4600 pigs died. In the other barn there are about 3000 pigs.
The fire brigade has been deployed with several vehicles and teams. A lot of smoke is released during the fire. The plume can be seen in the area.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
