Large fire in a warehouse with oliebollen stalls in Tholen

A warehouse with oliebollen stalls caught fire in Tholen, Zeeland. The Zeeland safety district reports that the fire department is allowing the warehouse to burn out in a controlled manner.

Additional fire engines from the area were called in for the fire. “About 60 firefighters from different stations in Zeeland and West Brabant are being used,” said X. The emergency services were able to prevent the fire from spreading to a neighboring office building.

The fire will take several hours to get under control, the safety department reports. This is why the road where the warehouse is located will remain closed at this time. People in the area are advised to keep windows and doors closed and turn off ventilation.
