Laren Couple Surprised with Half a Million Euro Prize by Postcode Lottery and Winston Gerschtanowitz

Elwin and Inge De Valk from Laren were away for a weekend when Winston Gerschtanowitz rang their doorbell. “Elwin’s six-week medical treatment was completed and we celebrated with a weekend in Zeeland,” they told the regional broadcaster.

Sunday morning a strange phone call came from the Postcode Lottery. Without mentioning that they were from the lottery, it was said that they wanted to deliver a large package and flowers. “We didn’t trust it, because they didn’t want to say what they came for,” says the De Valk family.

Elwin and Inge even called in the police from Zeeland, but they couldn’t find anything strange around their house. In the evening, neighbors spotted a red Postcode Lottery car. “A neighbor called us and said it probably had something to do with the Postcode Lottery. We turned on the television, we only saw the amount increase and Gerschtanowitz eventually ended up at our door. At that moment we knew,” says the family NH News.

They are extremely happy with the prize of no less than half a million euros. “We really didn’t expect this. We are very happy, but still full of adrenaline,” says Elwin.

Winston already shared on Monday that the money will go to the winners. You can see it in the video below.
