LAREDO, Texas – Nearly two thousand high school students participated in a career expo.
50 different organizations and agencies came to the Sames Auto Arena to show young people the job opportunities there are for them.
The exhibition was organized by Workforce Solutions.
During the event, Rogelio Ramos, an actor from Laredo who lives in Hollywood, spoke with the students about his career over almost two decades, where he has managed to participate in several films, series and commercial advertisements.
Ramos said that his career began when he received a phone call by mistake from an agency and from there he managed to sign a contract with them.
He acknowledged that getting work as an actor is not easy, but this he says is his passion.
Ramos added that in Laredo there is a lot of talent for acting and motivated young people to fight for their dreams.
During the expo this Wednesday, September 20, our Telemundo channel and our sister station KGNS were also present.
