A warm welcome to the Prime Minister K. Mitsotakis with a mobilization today, Saturday May 11 at 6 p.m. on the beach of Chalkida (Strongylos) organized by the Workers’ Unions of LARCO.
“The struggle of the LARCO workers will win!” emphasizes PAME and calls for mass participation in the mobilization. Buses will depart from Attica at 4:30 p.m. in pl. Silk factory.
In its announcement, PAME notes:
“Today’s large rally of LARCO workers in Athens and the great solidarity expressed by unions and agencies of Attica, gave the competitive response for the continuation. The gunpowder of the dismissals that the government dropped yesterday on the families of the workers of LARCO, the same workers are committed through their unrelenting struggle to return it. The race for open LARCO has not been decided! We will not allow the workers to be left alone, to be thrown on the street, to desert their places”.
The Labor Center of Evia, the Labor Center of Livadia and the Labor Center of Fokida are calling for mass participation, stressing: “We demand that the government and the prime minister now satisfy the fair demands of the workers. We call on all Trade Unions, all workers and the people to participate en masse in the gathering and to express their solidarity in every way!
Great gathering in Athens
LARCO workers, their families and children, once again flooded the center of Athens on Friday afternoon with their slogans and anger.
With slogans like “Hands down from LARCO” and “No to layoffs” they once again expressed their decision to continue the fight for the LARCO chimney to smoke again, against the government’s decision to throw them on the street and the unemployment fund.
