AKSARA KHATULISTIWA – Some time ago, the social media community was shocked by a viral photo spread on Instagram.
In the photo, you can see a bright light bursting from the top of Mount Merapi, Jogjakarta.
Many people suspect that the flash of light is a falling meteor. Not even a few netizens speculated that the rays belonged to UFOs.

In response to this, the National Institute of Aeronautics and Space (LAPAN) finally spoke up.
LAPAN explicitly stated that it doubted the validity of the photo of the light above the peak of Merapi.
