Togolese professional Laba Kodjo, striker of the Emirati team Al Ain, was able to lead his team to victory over his rival Al Dhafra in a match that came within the fifth week of the UAE League.
The Togolese professional scored two goals for Al Ain in the 27th minute of the events of the first half with a penalty kick, and returned again to score the second goal for his team in the minute (90 + 5) in a match that ended with a score of (4-1).
Kodja scored five goals with Al Ain, to be ranked as the UAE’s top scorer, one goal difference from Willton Suarez Moraes, the Sharjah striker.
Kodja is one of the elements that will be with the Togolese team before facing Egypt, as the two teams will meet twice this month, specifically on the 14th and 17th in the third and fourth round of the African Nations Cup qualifiers, which will be held in Cameroon in 2022.
The Egyptian team is in Group G with the trio (Comoros – Kenya – Togo), and the “Pharaohs” team occupies the third rank with two points equal with the Kenyan team, on the other hand the Comoros national team tops the standings with four points, while the Togo team tops the ranking with one point .
The Egyptian team started its qualifying campaign with a draw against Kenya (1-1) at the “Burj Al Arab” stadium in Alexandria. On the other hand, the second round match against Comoros was negative.
