The teacher and playwright Fernando Zabala returns to virtual platforms with the filmic micro story of his authorship called: ¨Lap-so¨.
The same can be seen in online format by the platform of Theatrical Alternative and with modality to the cap.
¨I premiered it last year and it got good comments from the public. There were people who entered to see it more than once and that influenced to replace it again.
Lap-so was conceived as a hybrid story that is neither cinema nor theater, it is a new genre that was born with the consequences of not being able to carry out normal activity within the scenic field and that many world theater makers began to use it as a palliative .
Lap-so is the endless anguish of existence, the non-response of words and a fleeting remote possibility of plane change. “And it didn’t take long for the wind to hit the old log on the shore, that that diffuse shadow appeared again.”
Lap-so is a metaphysical micro story, written and mainly at the twilight of the pandemic. I started writing the script back in May 2020, thinking about its possible audiovisual structure. Nature gave me a privileged context and was a core part of all that experience. I had never done a show designed solely for the camera, but circumstances pushed and this ineffable hybrid came out. I also made an adaptation of the original text for theater and possibly present it in a theater in the city.
In addition, the playwright said that the text was selected among the 50 best stories of the Editorial Inspirarte literary contest, held in November of last year.
“1350 unpublished works from all over the country have participated and it is a real joy to know that this short story has been selected among the 50 best”, the author commented to Cba24n.com.ar
The dramaturgy, the voice-over and the general direction is by the playwright Fernando Zabala. The photograph is by Susana Martinez and the editing by Gastón Buyatti. To reserve tickets to the cap you can enter the following link: Bit.ly/lap-so.
Publication in Anthology
On the other hand, the playwright told Cba24n.com.ar that the two plays of his authorship ¨Ventana¨ and ¨En el lugar de siempre¨, both make up the Anthology: ¨Teatro de Cuarentena¨, edited by the prestigious Editorial Iaspis from Athens, Greece and in which various Hispanic-American playwrights participate.
¨It was an enormous pleasure to participate in this new collection of Editorial Iaspis, especially in the case of an international publication with two of my works that are unpublished and have not yet been released ¨, commented the author.
