Spanish referee Mateu Laos has completed his work at the 2022 World Cup, according to the Tiempo de Juego Twitter program, available on Cope.es.
Laos’ last match in the tournament was the match between the Netherlands and Argentina (2:2, on pen. 3:4). The referee showed 12 yellow cards in the regular time of the match. Both teams were dissatisfied with the Spanish referee’s work.
The judge will return to Spain. Before that, at the world championship, Laos worked in the matches Qatar – Senegal (1:3) and Iran – USA (0:1).
Spanish VAR referees Alejandro Hernandez Hernandez, Juan Martinez Munuera and Ricardo de Burgos have all retained the opportunity to be involved in the 2022 World Cup.
