At the call of the collective of support for undocumented migrants, AC Trégor, intermittent entertainment workers and union and political organizations, nearly 150 people gathered on Saturday morning, March 20 in front of the Carré Magique in Lannion. “We give priority to those who struggle” underlined Philippe Vital by giving a voice to the intermittents who have occupied the Carré Magique for several days.
“We want to work”
They demand “the outright withdrawal of the unemployment insurance reform.” We want a realistic calendar of cultural places, the extension of the white year and want it to be extended to precarious workers, ”declared Youn, on behalf of intermittent workers.
The right to maternity and sick leave were also in the sights. “We want workers to be compensated properly. Castex has released 20 million for the whole of France, but that only represents a week of work for all the artists. We want to work ”.
“We are not about to leave”
All challenge elected officials but also the Department, or LTC.
Joël Le jeune should not be afraid to come and see us. We have words from elected officials who have passed but we are now waiting for the writings to go back to the government. We are not about to leave because we have no answer.
“The precariousness of refugees is more and more obvious”
The RSA and the reform of unemployment insurance were also singled out. “We are attacking the bottom and accusing the unemployed of being fraudsters, and that we cannot accept” protested Philippe Vital. “It’s obvious, there is the crisis, everything is bad but the government is taking advantage of this situation. There are more and more checks and 840,000 people will see their income drop ”.
Chantal, from the collective of undocumented migrants, wished to alert on the fate of twenty children of refugees, in school and in the process of ending up on the street. “They will be kicked out by Amisep. Many singles are not protected by the winter break law. All these foreigners are managed by so-called social associations which sign contracts with the state. They expel with a vengeance and that revolts us. The precariousness of the refugees is more and more obvious ”.
For the collective, there is non-assistance to people in danger. “We need a real reception policy”.
Scenes open every day
The gathering ended in music with the intervention of intermittents of the show who invite the public to join them every day from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. for cultural activities and open stages.
“The struggle continues for all the precarious,” concluded Youn.
