PrahaIN.cz noticed that there is a snack stand in the center of the capital, specifically on the Old Town Square. It offers more, but mainly focuses on langoustines. Their price is considerable compared to the rest of the competition in the Czech Republic. It costs up to 199 crowns.
For a similar amount, you won’t get a langoustine at the festival, nor on the famous St. Matthew’s Pilgrimage. The normal price there is around one hundred crowns. It depends on the sky, of course.
Sweet ones, for example with chocolate, cost around eighty crowns, we have seen more expensive ones for 130 crowns.
But even that is a lot.
One of the stallholders, who is currently selling langoustines at festivals, described the sum of 200 crowns as “crazy”. According to him, the cost of one product is approximately 15 crowns.
We went to Old Town Square several times.
We did not find any crowds of people in front of the stand. We only noticed the displeasure of the staff that we were taking pictures of the local prices.

On the other hand, it is necessary to know that the Old Town Square is considered the heart of the metropolis and that the rents there are very high. However, the exact amounts are not easy to determine. It varies, Taiko, the company that runs the markets here, told us.
“We only have stalls on the Old Town Square during the Christmas and Easter markets, so I don’t think that would be an indicator, rather contact someone with a permanent stall. I also don’t want to state an average, there are many indicators that determine the price of a stand at these markets per day. From the location to the assortment offered by the seller: we give preference to homemade handicrafts or original goods, for example, a charity has free space,” spokeswoman Hana Tietze told PrahaIN.cz.
Addressed sellers on the square refused to talk to us about the mentioned topic.
When it came to Christmas markets, the editors bypassed practically all of them in the metropolis. The ones on Náměstí Miru were very nice. They also offered langoustines here. Both sweet and typical had a single price of eighty crowns.
