A teacher at the Bärau school in Langnau in Emmental has tested positive for the coronavirus.

In the lower level of the Bärau school, the chairs are expected to stay on the desks until August 24th.

The teacher is in isolation. The pupils who have been taught by the teacher have to be in quarantine for ten days.

As the Bernese health, social and integration directorate announced on Friday, it is the 1./2. and the 3rd / 4th Class. From Monday or Tuesday they will be taught distance learning. All siblings of these students can continue to go to school.

It is planned to resume face-to-face teaching with the two affected classes from August 24th. The lessons in kindergarten and at the 5th / 6th Class of the Bärau school continues as normal.
