Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Nurul Ghufron, said that initially the KPK received information from the public that there would be a money-giving transaction by the suspect Muara Warangin (MR). Ghufron said the investigative team immediately followed the movement of Muara Warin-Angin, who had time to withdraw money from a regional bank.
“The KPK team immediately moved and followed several parties, including MR who made a withdrawal of some money from a regional bank,” said Ghufron in his press conference, Thursday (20/1/2022).
Meanwhile, the suspects Marcos Surya Abdi (MSA), Shuhanda Citra (SC) and Isfi Syahfitra (IS) as contractors waited at a coffee shop. Muara Warin-angin immediately gave cash to the contractors at the coffee shop.
“The KPK team immediately arrested and secured MR, MSA, SC and IS along with money to the Binjai Police,” said Ghufron.
Not long after, the investigative team immediately moved to Terbit Plan’s private house for safekeeping and Iskandar PA (ISK) as his brother. But when it arrived, Plan Publish and Iskandar had fled.
“Then the KPK team headed to the TRP’s private residence to secure the TRP and UTI. However, when they arrived at the location, information was obtained that the TRP and UTI were no longer there and it was suspected that they had deliberately avoided the KPK team’s pursuit,” he said.

“The evidence of money in question is allegedly only a small part of some of the receipts by the TRP through people they trust,” he said.
In this case, the KPK named 6 people as suspects. However, Iskandar has not been detained yet, because the investigation is still being carried out at the Binjai Police Station.

The suspect MR as the giver is suspected of violating Article 5 paragraph (1) letter a or Article 5 paragraph (1) letter b or Article 13 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption.
Meanwhile, the TRP, UTI, MSA, SC and IS suspects as recipients are suspected of violating Article 12 letter (a) or Article 12 letter (b) or Article 11 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law -Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) to 1 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 65 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.
