Both the offensive and the defensive convinced in the derby. After the Longhorns defense had stopped the first drive by the Klingenstadt team and the hosts punted, the Langenfeld offense was allowed onto the field for the first time – and immediately scored. Michel Fritsche served Ethan Weinstein to make it 6-0, Carlo Zimmermann made it 7-0. Even then, the Solingen offense couldn’t do much – in contrast to that of the Longhorns. Fritsche passed to Jerusalem “JJ” Tootoo and he also scored his first touchdown of the season. Zimmermann again provided the extra point.

The Longhorns began the second quarter at the Paladins’ 14-yard line. Fritsche passed Nils Pelzer – touchdown, extra point Zimmermann – 21:0. After that, both teams lost the ball several times, so that half-time went without further points. In the third quarter, the Langenfelders seamlessly continued the performance of the first half. After a pass from Fritsche, Tootoo had the next touchdown and Zimmermann also scored again – 28:0.

The Longhorn’s defense remained solid. Quarterback Fritsche crowned his performance with his fifth touchdown pass of the day to Jona Glasner, Sebastian Brocker followed up. With 35:0 we went into the last quarter. In view of the clear lead, the guests rotated, Nick Schaper was allowed to take the place of Fritsche. A Brocker field goal gave the Longhorns a 38-0 lead. Only a run by Moses Harris into the end zone seconds before the end brought Solingen the first points.
