Langenei Music Association Celebrates 125th Anniversary and Elects New Board Members

Langenei. The Langenei Music Association took a look at the successful celebrations of its 125th anniversary during its annual general meeting. The focus was also on new elections to the board.

These were marked by changes, as the chairman of marketing, Stephan Tigges, had already announced in advance that he would no longer be available for another term of office.

He had assumed this position six years ago to the day. His challenges certainly included maneuvering the club through the Corona crisis and constant musical development. Stephan Tigges made a significant contribution to the success here with his hands-on mentality.

Long applause as we say goodbye

The highlight of his term in office was certainly the past anniversary year with its numerous events. The chairman of management, Tim Kirchhoff, once again emphasized these achievements and wished him only the best for the future. Stephan Tigges was said farewell to long-lasting applause.

Tobias Kramer was elected as the new chairman of the marketing department for an initial period of three years. He is no stranger to the board, having already been the club’s cashier in the 2000s. He is also the singer of the in-house dance band Spätschicht, so he is an “experienced hand” and a thoroughbred musician.

Lorena Kouril was elected as second assessor in the role of grade supervisor for another three years.

Been there for 30 years

The conductor of the youth orchestra, Lukas Hechmann, gave an insight into the club’s youth work. Another item on the agenda was honoring long-standing, deserving members. Here Jürgen Schumacher was able to accept the honor for 30 years of membership to thunderous applause.
