Dutch Grand Prix – Sunday’s race
Start of the race
Kevin Magnussen started from the pit lane, for car modifications in parc fermé mode. Yuki Tsunoda, Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas started on the soft compound, Kevin Magnussen chose the hard compound and the rest of the drivers on medium hard sets of tires. Max Vestappen had a good start, taking first place ahead of Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri also dropped one position after being overtaken by George Russell after the start. Pierre Gasly overtook both Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll, and Lance Stroll fell behind Carlos Sainz. Charles Leclerc advanced one position ahead of Sergio Perez.
Lewis Hamilton overtook Yuki Tsunoda in the 2nd lap. In the 4th round, we watched the fight for 5th place between Charles Leclerc and Sergio Perez. Kevin Manussen went off the track. Carlos Sainz overtook Fernando Alonso on the outside to move up to 8th. On lap 9, Lewis Hamilton was passing Nico Hülkenberg and successfully overtook him on lap 10 to move up to 11th. We watched the battle for 7th place between Carlos Sainz and Pierre Gasly.
First pit tracks
On the 13th lap, Oscar Piastri made a pit stop and changes to a hard set of tires. Lewis Hamilton overtook Lance Stroll to move up to 10th.
The fight between Lando Norris and Max Verstappen
In the 17th lap, we watched the exciting battle between Lando Norris and Max Verstappen for the 1st place. On the 18th lap, Lando Norris overtook Max Verstappen and took the race lead. In the 21st lap, Lewis Hamilton driving on a soft set of tires fought with Pierre Gasly on a medium hard set for 8th place. Pierre Gasly defended his position. Charles Leclerc commuted Oscar Piastri. In the 23rd lap, Charles Leclerc attacked Oscar Piastri using the DRS system.
Pilots change to a hard set of tires
On lap 24, Lewis Hamilton made a pit stop and switched to a hard set of tires, dropping to 16th place after exiting the track. In the 25th lap, Charles Leclerc pits and changes to a hard set of tires. On the 26th lap, George Russell made a longer pit stop and changes to a hard set of tires. Charles Leclerc overtook Fernando Alonso. George Russell was chasing Charles Leclerc. On lap 27, Lewis Hamilton overtook Esteban Ocon to move up to 14th. On lap 28, Max Verstappen switches to a hard set of tires and rejoins the track in fifth place. On lap 29, Lando Norris also pits and returns in 4th place, while Oscar Piastri takes the lead. Lewis Hamilton overtook Nico Hülkenberg and advanced to 13th place. On the 30th lap, Sergio Perez made a longer pit stop. In the 31st lap, Carlos Sainz pitted and returned to the track behind Sergio Perez. Sergio Perez overtook Fernando Alonso. Also in the pits is Esteban Ocon. On lap 32, Fernando Alonso pits. On the 33rd lap, Pierre Gasly and Oscar Piastri made a pit stop. Lando Norris took charge of the race. Pierre Gasly’s dangerous pit exit recorded but will not be investigated. Lance Stroll was penalized for speeding in the pit lane.
The duel between Oscar Piastre and George Russell
In the 38th lap, Oscar Piastri passed George Russell. On lap 40, Oscar Piastri overtook George Russell to move up to 4th place. Pierre Gasly overtook Alex Albon, then we watched the battle of several cars in the middle of the field. In lap 41, we watched the battle for third place between Charles Leclerc and Oscar Piastre. Fernando Alonso overtook Alex Albon to move up to 11th. On the 45th lap, Sainz passed Sergio Perez. The battle between Oscar Piastre and Charles Leclerc. Carlos Sainz attacked Sergio Perez, but Pere held his position. In the 47th lap, Carlos Sainz overtook Sergio Perez and advanced to 6th place. Lewis Hamilton changes to a new set of soft tires on lap 49. On lap 53, lead driver Lando Norris passed Lance Stroll in 12th place. On lap 55 we watched the battle for 5th place between George Russell and Carlos Sainz.
He then pitted at George Russell and is changing to a used set of soft tyres.
Also in the pits is Alex Albon. Alex Albon overtook Kevin Magnussen to move up to 17th. Oscar Piastri was driving Charles Leclerc. On the 60th lap, Nico Hülkenberg and Pierre Gasly were fighting for 9th place, and Pierre Gasly successfully overtook and advanced to 9th place. Charles Leclerc commuted Max Verstappen. Lewis Hamilton passed George Russell on lap 64. Both Mercedes drivers were running on a soft set of tyres. Also on the soft set is Guanyou Zhou. Alex Abon, Valtteri Bottas and Kevin Magnussen on the medium set of tyres, the other drivers on the hard set.
The end of the race
Music producer Armin Van Buuren waved the checkered flag. Lando Norris was the first to pass under her, followed by Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc in third place.
