CETIN is a company with a telecommunications infrastructure, which was established as a division from O2. Thanks to this, it is currently used by all three mobile operators, as well as a number of other connection providers. The published data therefore have a fairly high informative value.

It is clear from them that the Czechs are most often connected at a speed of 50 Mb / s and 100 Mb / s. Of the total number of 4.2 million customers, 44% have such a speed, ie more than 1.8 million. 773 thousand people have more than twice the speed, namely 250 Mb / s connection. Only 76,400 customers have the Internet with the highest possible speed of 1 Gb / s.

Faster internet via landline
The fastest connection is currently available only within optical networks, however, a significant increase in speed was also experienced last year by customers who have a connection via a fixed line. At that time, domestic operators began to offer bonding technology, thanks to which the connection speed doubled.

To achieve double speed, it is necessary, if technically possible, to use two metallic cables for internet connection – two twisted pair cables – instead of one. The device named Terminator will then take care of combining the transmission capacity, and thus the speed from both cables, which will always be professionally installed by a technician between the socket and the DSL modem.

Terminator is free and the customer does not pay any monthly rent or other fee for it. New and existing customers can use a faster connection.
