The first information arrives on the new electric car fruit of work of the Artemis division created by the Volkswagen Group and under the control of Audi which is developing next generation battery models. According to the German press, the code name of the electric flagship è “Landjet”. According to the source, this vehicle will be large in size and should offer up to 7 seats.
This future model will be built at the Hanover plant of the Volkswagen Group. Landjet will be offered, with the due differences, through the Audi, Bentley and Porsche brands. From a technical point of view, at the moment we only know that it should have of an autonomy of about 650 km. Audi is expected to be the first Volkswagen Group brand to launch it on the market in 2024. Bentley and Porsche versions will come later.
It is still not entirely clear whether it will be a large SUV or a sedan. Recently, speaking of its electric plans, the Volkswagen Group had stated that precisely in Hanover it will build 3 models of electric D-SUVs. Bentley has also already highlighted that by 2025 it will launch its electric flagship which will be an SUV. All this would suggest that Landjet could really be an SUV. However, the German press claims that this future electric model will be a sedan.
There is plenty of time, however, to discover new information on the work of the Artemis division as Landjet’s debut is still several years away. Surely in the next few months new details will emerge that will allow us to better understand what is being worked on.
