Landesbühne Nord Presents ‘Once the North Pole and Back’: A Play about the ‘Polarstern’ Research Ship for Children

As of: October 28, 2023 8:20 a.m

The Landesbühne Nord plays a piece about the research ship “Polarstern” for children aged three and over.

The research ship Polarstern was traveling in the Arctic in the winter of 2019/2020 and drifted through the Arctic Ocean with the ice for months on its “Mosaic” expedition. Under the direction of Frank Fuhrmann, the Landesbühne Nord has staged a play about the research mission on climate change for children aged three and over. “Once the North Pole and Back” is the name of the play, which premieres on October 29th at the “TheOS” theater in Wilhelmshaven. On the stage there is a ship, research equipment and polar bears – in small format. After the premiere, the piece will be performed in more than 40 kindergartens in the Landesbühne Nord play area.
