Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Police call mass organizations Youth of Pancasila and Forum Betawi Rempug (FBR) controls a number of lands belonging to the state without rights and violates the law. The officers then sealed the building of state assets controlled by the two mass organizations.
Deputy Head of Central Jakarta Metro Police AKBP Setyo Koes Heriyanto said one of the buildings that was sealed was in the office building, Jalan Letjen Suprapto, Kemayoran.
In addition to sealing the building, the police also confiscated evidence in the form of a building rights certificate (HGB).
The plot of land and a four-story government-owned building has been controlled by Pemuda Pancasila since 2014. State-owned assets and IBRA related to the Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance (BLBI) case are managed by the State Asset Management Institute (LMAN).
“The State Asset Management Agency reports that one of the assets belonging to the state and IBRA related to the BLBI case has been illegally controlled by the Pancasila Youth community organization,” Setyo said at a press conference, Monday (12/13).
Setyo said LMAN had actually negotiated twice but could not find an agreement with Pemuda Pancasila. This case was then reported to the police and followed up by sealing the building.
Currently the police have not named a suspect, and are still investigating who is responsible for this case.
“For the PP office, it is actually a state asset. [nantinya] We apply Article 167 of the Criminal Code,” said Setyo.
Secretary General of PP Arif Rahman claimed that the building which was used as his organization’s office was the result of a lease. He denied that his party violated the rules and controlled state land.
“Nothing has been violated because we are renting, unless we take people’s land, this is renting,” Arif said at the Polda Metro Jaya, Monday.
The other two plots of land are located in the area of the former Kemayoran Airport, Central Jakarta, namely Blocks B2 and B3. The area is 13 thousand square meters and 12 thousand square meters, respectively. This area has been controlled by FBR since November.
“The two lands were built by the FBR community organization, a futsal field and a badminton court, as well as kiosk plots and semi-permanent buildings that are intended to be rented out,” said Setyo.
The land belongs to PT Oseania as the holder of building use rights (HGB). However by FBR, the land was leased to someone else. One of the kiosk plots is valued at Rp3 million per year.
In this case, the police will charge Article 387 in conjunction with 167 of the Criminal Code.
Currently, the police are still developing the perpetrators of this unilateral control of state assets.
