In Hallein alone, the flood was likely to have caused nine million euros in damage in July. Money is to flow from the disaster fund by October.
The Kothbach, which overflowed its banks, wreaked havoc on the evening of July 17th in Hallein’s old town. The first extent of the damage became apparent the day after: Broken household appliances and dirty furnishings that had become unusable piled up on the streets.
