This public conference of the Quatre Bornes collective of associations of undivided areas of Bobo-Dioulasso aims to take stock of the steps that the collective has taken with the municipal authorities with a view to resolving the land crisis in undivided areas. . It also aims to collect the opinions of members for a way out of the crisis on the land issue in the town of Sya.
The president of the collective, Moussa Traoré alias Moses, explains that “we invited the populations to report to them about our tour and remind them of the difficulties linked to land.” «The problem has lasted too long while every day that God makes, other land problems are added to those already existing. This is why at the collective level we decided to tour the different districts to understand what is causing us to fail to satisfy the populations. During our tours it emerged that the major difficulty is linked to land mobilization. To overcome this, we proposed that there be a good approach with the populations “, Mr. Traoré further indicated.
This discussion meeting was also an opportunity for the collective to urge the highest authorities in the country to seriously consider the issue of undeveloped areas in Bobo-Dioulasso. As a solution, Moussa Traoré recalls that a committee was set up by the governor of the region at the time to reflect on the situation. In the end, a report was made and made available to the authorities. According to him, it is enough to implement the content of this report which contains the best proposals capable of resolving the land crisis in Bobo-Dioulasso. For the record, the Quatre Bornes collective of associations of undivided areas of Bobo-Dioulasso is made up of around ten structures.
