The Brandenburg Ministry of the Environment provides information about new advance permits for the construction of the Tesla Gigafactory in Grünheide near Berlin in different ways: Sometimes there is a press release, sometimes you get to know about it directly from the minister in sessions of the state parliament, and sometimes only from media reports. To report. Now Tesla has again received permission to complete parts of its German Gigafactory subject to dismantling prior to the completion of the overall process. And perhaps in line with the current visit by the Tesla boss to the construction site, the ministry only used its own Twitter account for this information.
Tesla work inside and with a helicopter
“LfU Brandenburg today approved the early start for the installation of machines and units (…) in final assembly at Tesla Giga Berlin,” the ministry wrote on Wednesday afternoon on Twitter. It also published an aerial photo of the exterior of the almost completed electric car factory.
Parts of the most recent advance permits also related to interior work, which means that the installation of production technology in the new Tesla buildings has long since begun. In mid-April, the laying of underground sewage pipes and lines was also approved. At the same time, Brandenburg’s Environment Minister Axel Vogel informed that Tesla wanted to install exhaust air chimneys on the roofs using a helicopter, which was observed last week after the approval.
