The Aston Martin F1 team has announced that Lance Stroll will participate in this weekend’s F1 Bahrain Grand Prix. Stroll, the Canadian whose father Lawrence owns the team, said he was in Aston Martin pre-season after a mountain bike crash was reported in Spain last week. Missed the season test.
Lance Stroll said: “It’s disappointing to miss the pre-season test in Bahrain, but given the wrist injury, it’s best for the team and myself to focus on recovery this weekend and for the long season ahead. I thought so,” he commented. “It was an unfortunate accident. The ground punctured my tire and I fell off the bike. Luckily there was no major damage and a minor surgery on my right wrist was successful and the problem was quickly resolved. Since then. “I have been working very hard with the team to ensure that I am fully prepared for this weekend’s race.”I would like to thank the F1 community for their support and privacy and the team for helping me recover. We are ready to focus on the race weekend.” Both drivers, Felipe Dolgovic and Stoffel Vandoorne, will remain on site as the team’s reserve drivers this weekend.
