There are one or two drivers in Formula 1 who will start the 2024 season with a mortgage. Sergio Perez, for example, has to fight hard for his place at Red Bull and rookie Logan Sargeant also has to improve significantly in his second year at Williams.
Who is clearly not one of them is Lance Stroll – and not just because his father owns the racing team. Aston Martin team boss Mike Krack is apparently completely convinced by the Canadian and raves highly about the Formula 1 driver.
Formula 1: Krack raves about Stroll
Lance Stroll is a special case in Formula 1. After all, his father Lawrence is the owner of the team. So he can actually choose how long he wants to drive. Nevertheless, there were repeated rumors last season that Stroll could be kicked out of Aston Martin or perhaps even force his departure himself.

If you believe Mike Krack’s words, there’s apparently nothing to it at all. “He is relaxed and confident,” said Krack and continued: “You can see it in his body language. It’s very impressive how he has developed as a driver this year.”
After his serious hand injury shortly before the start of the season, he showed “real courage and determination” to get back behind the wheel as quickly as possible. “And despite everything he had been through, he was still very fast,” said Krack.

“He’s very much on the rise.”
As the season progressed, Stroll got into trouble and repeatedly made mistakes. Krack, however, was impressed by how Stroll handled it. “He had to deal with a lot of pressure and handled it with a lot of confidence. I wish the season had been a little longer for him because he was really fast in the final laps. We can build on that.”

Krack continued: “This has to happen now, he just has to pick up where he left off this season. He has overcome many challenges this year and now he is making great progress.” Stroll seems to be firmly in the cockpit at Aston Martin.
