The middle and high school students of four institutes in Lamentin presented the posters they made as part of the poster campaign for the “Addiction seen by young people” project to the Town Hall. This preventive action in the school environment is implemented with the Municipal Police in line with its missions in the fight against delinquency.
Four schools in Lamentin were selected to produce advertising posters as part of the government-led national addiction mobilization plan.
On the occasion of the launch of the campaign “Addiction as seen by young people”, Lamentin middle and high school students presented the advertising posters created for the project on the theme of addictions and the prevention of addictive behaviors.
The project is co-financed by the Interministerial Mission for the Fight against Drugs and Addictive Behaviors, placed with the Prime Minister, the Regional Health Agency and the Municipality of Lamentin.
Students from the selected institutions invited personalities to lend their images to this project.
– They narcotics : Acajou 1 high school students posed with the journalist Hélène Sérignac
– They video games : young people from Acajou 2 high school developed the poster with Floriane Bascou, Miss Martinique 2021 and former high school student
– the sucre : Pelletier’s pupils collaborated with swimmer and champion Christophe Maleau
– They screens (laptop, tablet, television, computer, etc.): the middle school students of the Edouard Glissant factory in Place d’Armes designed the poster with Mario Bocaly, regional football technical adviser and former Matinino coach, the football selection of the Martinique.
“In these circumstances, the main challenge – and this is the first ambition of this plan – is to equip our children with skills that allow them to reduce risky behaviors and make them grow up in a more protective environment, exposing them less to continuous stresses.
