Interviewed in the program “C à Vous” broadcast on France 5, Monday April 5, the restaurateur Michel Sarran did not mince his words when the host, Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine, asked him what he thought of the clandestine social dinners organized in Paris. The juror of the show “Top Chef”, broadcast on M6, indicated that these restaurateurs did not support the sector by opening their establishments, despite health measures. “I find it not respectful of all restaurateurs who make colossal efforts.” And to add: “Bragging about not putting on masks when we see how we fought for health protocols and that today, we are still closed, it’s hard.”
During this interview, the 2 Michelin star chef, also deplored the bad image that these clandestine dinners could give to the citizens. “It is lamentable and strictly speaking scandalous because it discredits a profession compared to the French, in a period which is quite complicated for us.” Behavior that is also not acceptable vis-à-vis the State, said chef Michel Sarran, while restaurant owners have been receiving financial aid since the start of the pandemic: “I find that it is not not respectful either towards the government which is there, which supports us. ” To try to save his restaurants, swear of the famous culinary show, has for its part focused on “click & collect” and take-away sales in particular (…)
