Hornets rookie star LaMelo Ball has a broken right wrist and could miss the rest of the season, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported.
Ball will seek a second opinion on his injury but the Hornets are almost convinced that their prized player will not see action again in the 2020-2021 season, in which he had made a great impression.
In 41 games played, the 19-year-old has averages of 15.9 points, 6.1 assists and 5.9 rebounds, which made him a clear favorite to win the league’s Rookie of the Year award.
A hard blow for the aspirations of a Charlotte team that has been one of the revelations, currently occupying the eighth position in the Eastern Conference with a mark of 20-2021.
