There are never enough special versions of Italian supersports, so Lamborghini unveiled a novelty called Huracán Tecnica a few days before the start of the New York Motor Show. It should be a combination of the best possible skills on the road and on the race track.

He takes some parts for him from sharp hurricane STO, which has registration plates and is allowed on the roads, but its primary purpose is the racing circuit. The most important is the engine – it’s the same version of the 5.2-liter ten-cylinder with 640 hp and 565 Nm, which drives the STO version.

Engine power travels to the rear wheels through a seven-speed two-speed transmission and an electronically controlled torque vectoring torque. The rear wheels also turn.

All this, together with the anti-slip, stabilization system and other electronics, is controlled by a system called LDVI, which stands for “Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata”. Basically, these are different driving modes that the driver chooses as needed and the car behaves a little differently in each.

For example, the driver will allow different rear wheel skid angles before the stabilization strikes. “We have moved that threshold so that you can have more slippage depending on your driving regime. We decided to give the driver a high degree of freedom before the anti-slip gently hits. Otherwise, it looks smooth and disrupts the car’s movements, “said Rouven Mohr, technical director of Lamborghini.

It is also worth mentioning the carbon-ceramic brakes with a cooling system derived from racing specials, thanks to which the calipers and discs cool better. And also acceleration to 100 in 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 325 km / h, which is 15 km / h higher than the STO due to lower aerodynamic drag.

According to the carmaker, the relatively small wing at the stern improves the pressure by 35% compared to the standard Hurricane Evo and does not increase air resistance. Further modifications to the body made it 6.1 cm longer, which means that the car looks a little more straddled, although the width and height remained unchanged.

The carmaker also boasted a dry weight of 1379 kg, from which we can estimate the operating weight somewhere around 1.5 tons, and a luggage volume of 100 liters. However, it has not yet announced the price or availability of the car; however, we can expect order books to open within a few months.
