Interior Minister Lambert Noël Matha announced at a press conference held on July 30, 2023, the recruitment of law enforcement personnel for the reinforcement of the workforce.
Gabon intends to recruit 1,000 to 1,200 young people into the police. As announced by the Minister of the Interior, this recruitment will make it possible to rejuvenate the aging workforce. To this end, the filing of files will be done this week.
The Minister announced that the competition will be effective after the general elections scheduled for August 26th. Also, competitions such as the Republican Guard, the firefighters and the Gendarmerie are also launched.
The young Gabonese who will apply will undergo, among other tests, a morality investigation. Recall that the last police recruitment took place in 2015, 8 years ago.
