Lambaréné: the Provincial Advisory Council refines project ideas before the financing phase – AGP

Lambaréné, February 23, 2024 (AGP) – The operational technical unit of the Provincial Consultative Council of Middle Ogooué (CCPG3), held, on Thursday February 22, in Lambaréné, a training workshop with project leaders, in the framework of the first local development support program to rely on oil resources, with a view to refining the outlines of project ideas and being at the same level of information, it was noted.

For Anaclet Ngowenandji, coordinator of the CCPG3 Technical Operational Unit, this training falls within the framework of activities related to the Southern Lakes region, territory where the first local development support program based on oil resources is being written. .

”The beneficiaries carrying out the initial projects come from the territories of the three lakes (Onangué, Ezanga, Oguemoué). Today’s exercise falls within the framework of coordination, harmonization, development and planning missions for sustainable development activities in the Middle Ogooué province. This is therefore a flagship activity, the basis of everything that will be done in the next 6, 12, and 24 months in relation to income-generating activities,” explained the coordinator.

Indeed, this training, which falls within the framework of the financing of Maurel and Prom projects, was an opportunity for project idea holders and CCPG3 experts to clarify said projects, translated into technical sheets and a business plan. simplified, explaining to them point by point the procedure followed.

”We received a number of project ideas, which were missing a certain amount of information. It was important that we meet with the actors to be able to clarify their project ideas. So at the end of the discussions that we had we collected a certain amount of information which allowed us to better appreciate these project ideas, and therefore the main part of the exchange this morning was really to explain to the project leaders that it was the approach that we followed from their project idea to the development of the simplified business plan,” explained Ranozinault Terrence, expert.

This training, according to Ms. Aimée-Félicité Essono Eny, expert in charge of the social economy in the CCPG3, allows everyone to be at the same level of information, because it is a process. ”Here we are entering an important phase. The selected files will enter the financing phase, so the experts that we are had to explain to them the approach that was adopted to reach this level (project idea, technical sheet and simplified business plan)”.

A hope which is gradually being translated into reality for the beneficiaries, because the explanations given have reassured more than one.
