Lambaréné, May 07, 2023 (AGP) – The president of the political party Union Nationale Initiale (UNI, opposition), Paul Marie Gondjout, hosted a talk this weekend in Lambaréné, the provincial capital of Moyen-Ogooué (Centre) . He called for a rally, inviting the political class to a change and a five-year alliance, for reforms in all areas of society.
Addressing the populations, from all corners of the department of Ogooué and the lakes, Paule Marie Gondjout said she did not believe in the upcoming elections, if the demands of the Gabonese are not taken into account.
‘’I don’t believe in future elections, if they don’t deeply take Gabonese into account. We all want a change in the absolute necessity of peace and social and national cohesion. In other words, I believe in a change in governance. I believe that this five-year period must be one of major reforms, which our country needs. For that, we must seize all the political opportunities, to pass on as much as necessary the ideas of reform, which participate in finding solutions to the evils which undermine the political alternation and which slow down the development of our country.”, did he declare
For Paul Marie Gondjout, a political party must convey ideas that move Gabon forward. Its vision is to bring together all Gabonese around a common project.
‘’Gabon is our common heritage. I call for a rally. I propose an alliance for Gabon, around a five-year reform project thus opening up the 3rd republic. A more just and equitable republic in the development of our country and the distribution of national wealth. This alliance for Gabon is intended to be inclusive and patriotic, to be open to all political sensitivities. It is the very existence of our country that is at stake. First of all, I invite our responsibility to all. Let’s do it for Gabon and for the future generation”, he added
After his message, Paul Marie Gondjout proceeded to the renewals and installation of the basic structures. After Lambaréné, Paul Marie Gondjout will go to the department of Abanga-Bigné.
