BALTIMORE (AP) – Lamar Jackson finally beat Patrick Mahomes after running 107 yards and scoring twice, including throwing himself to the ground for the winning run, and Baltimore defeated Kansas City 36-35 on Sunday.
Jackson was 0-3 against the Chiefs and it took all his skills to deliver Mahomes his first loss in September after 11 wins. The duel was lively from the start.
And to clinch victory, the Ravens needed Clyde Edwards-Helaire to lose a ball as Kansas City approached the goal line.
Jackson finished 18 for 26 with two interceptions. Mahomes went 24 for 31 with 343 yards and three touch downs, with an interception.
Marquise Brown finished the night with six receptions for 113 yards for Baltimore. Travis Kelce had seven catches for 109 yards and a dynamic 46-yard slalom in which he dodged three tackles before collapsing exhausted behind the goal line.
