It has been 22 years since Lam Ka Tung left his family, TVB, to work in the film industry and behind the scenes. There are reports that TVB’s investors invited him to serve as a senior executive in the production department, hoping to use his power to comprehensively improve production. The report even stated that Ka Tung will focus on producing Hong Kong dramas after returning home, and said that he has already recruited talents from the film industry. Some media even asked He Dingjun, the former general manager and director of TVB, for verification. The report said that he confessed frankly.
Regarding Ka-Tung returning to TVB as a senior executive, TVB’s Corporate Communications Department denied the rumors: “Recently there was news that actor and professional film and television producer Mr. Lam Ka-Tung has joined TVB as a key position in the production department. The company has not heard of such rumors; the company’s executive chairman Xu Mr. Tao responded to the media at a press conference earlier, stating that he did not know Mr. He Dingjun and had never had contact with him.”
