His engagement in the Serbian club Crvena Zvezda Belgrade is a thing of the past. Slovak representative Erik Jirka set out on a new adventure, but for a competition he already knows well. He wants to help get Oviedo back among the elite
The last time Oviedo was part of the highest Spanish competition was in the period when Dubovský defended its colors. The 2000/2001 season was the last for Oviedo among the Spanish elite for many years. And although the team has not been able to really talk to the fight to return to LaLiga in recent years, Jirka believes that it could work out now.
“Oviedo plays very fast football. They have strong breaks and are very uncomfortable in attack. I think I could help them with my speed, ferocity and also straightforwardness towards the gate, “ Jirka described his football strengths at a press conference and continued: “My plan is to get to LaLiga with Real Oviedo. He no longer wanted to change clubs and go to guest appearances
