FC Barcelona are said to be obsessed with signing Erling Haaland in the summer. According to the current status, however, an obligation is obviously pure utopia.
Erling Haaland is on the wish lists of countless top clubs. One of them is FC Barcelona, who want to activate the Borussia Dortmund superstar’s release clause and strengthen themselves with the Norwegian force of nature.
However, this mission will be more difficult than previously assumed. LaLiga boss Javier Tebas explains to “El Periodico de Espana” that a Haaland move to the Camp Nou is not possible. “As of today, in the current situation they are in, they cannot get Haaland,” said the manager.
The salary cap anchored in Spain, on which a contract extension with Lionel Messi had already failed, puts a spanner in the works for the Azulgrana. So Barça would first have to turn the salary screw in order to be able to fulfill the Haaland dream.
