“Since I was little I have been like this, the eclectic and the changing attract me and it comes naturally to me,” Espósito told EFE in a telephone interview. He does it at the end of his day shooting “Sky Rojo” (Netflix) and on the way to a recording studio, where he prepares his next album during his brief stay in Spain, with his sights set on returning to Argentina.
It has a voluminous portfolio of projects, among which it is not pigeonholed in any. “People do not conceive the idea that someone can be 360, that projects from different areas are of interest,” explains the Argentine, attracted by “everything that has an artistic component.”
As an example, weeks ago he released his theme “Equal”is working on his next album while he finishes filming “Sky Rojo”, in addition to designing his fashion capsule collection (small collections resulting from the collaboration between a brand and a designer or a “celebrity”), to which must be added the program will start soon “The voice” in Argentina. “Over the years I have tried to make things compatible. It’s hard, I’m not going to lie, but it’s a privilege to do what you’re passionate about,” she says.
“I grew up in a neighborhood of humble and hard-working people. There an unconscious thought is generated that public art spaces are for others and not for one”, explains Espósito; Although he now triumphs in these media, he was not clear about his vocation. “I always thought that this world was not for us,” he reflects.
One day a “casting” came into his hands in which they were looking for children for the series “Light Corner”, which he secretly signed up for. “My sister took me. A few days later they called me to see me again and my mother, who did not know, was shocked and she had to start accompanying me, ”she says about the beginning of her career in front of the cameras.
“At first it was a game, I laughed and had fun. Then I became aware that it was my job and I had to take care of it as such”, and she remembers that his career began with “Light Corner” y “Floricient” to end with his face on the iconic screens of Times Square in New York as a vocalist.
“I’m ‘sudaca’ and a woman, it’s hard to be in successful art spaces, that makes me particularly proud,” she says, referring to this appearance for her song “Equal”, an emotion that is added to the return to scenarios after the pandemic. And being her, finally, she is a prophet in her land remembers that she “hadn’t played in Argentina for three years”.
That is where he will return at the end of the filming of the third season of “Red Sky”. “In Argentina they wait for me with a knife and fork, as soon as I get back we’ll start with ‘La Voz’” explains the artist, who only has a month and a half to prepare to return to the stage.
Before leaving Spain, he will present, together with Miguel Ángel Muñoz the gala of the Platinum Awards of the Ibero-American Cinema next May 1 in Madrid, an appointment that he confesses makes him very excited. “Many colleagues are nominated and I am really excited,” adds Esposito, who also has pending, when his schedule allows it, to resume his fashion capsule collection.
“At the times of the year that I can, I wear it and I like it a lot, I have had fun designing for six years,” he says about his collection belonging to the collective 47 Streetwhich brings together the work of 47 different fashion creators and with which he continues his path, that of being faithful to his eclecticism.
