In this sense, the headquarters located in Misiones of the Argentina League for the Fight against Cancer (LALCEC) has established a program of activities that will take place in these days of October.
In this regard, the president of LALCEC of Misiones, Rosaura Sfeir, said that other types of diseases such as lung or skin cancer should not be left aside, even if this month is dedicated exclusively to breast cancer.
Regarding care, he recommended people over the age of 40, without and with a history, to have routine medical check-ups and stressed that one must be honest with these problems in the face of any ailment suffered by a loved one, close relative u familiar: “Leave the controls for later has its consequences,” he said.

According to Sfeir, LALCEC has professionals in different areas of medicine and this year a professional in psycho-oncology has been included to collaborate with the sick person and also in psychological assistance affecting family members.

Activities proposed by LALCEC in the Pink Month
This month, on October 1st, they started with the delivery of the pink ribbon in Plaza San Martín and Costanera, which represented the fight against breast cancer. In front of the Palace of Justice, on the other hand, the “Look good – Feel better” activity took place where various problems related to skin diseases were discussed.
The development of the activity saw the participation of two professionals who dedicated themselves to teaching how to protect the skin through care techniques and make-up kits arrived from Buenos Aires with special products for people who need a specific treatment. “Women have also learned to wear the veil,” she added.
From LALCEC, they work with partners who help collaborate with the income so that it has functionality, in addition, they have asked for help from people who wish to participate in the cause of the fight against cancer. “We welcome everyone with open arms, we are all over 70 and we want to renew our ideas,” she said.
On the other hand, he stated that together with his team they visited 10 schools that will participate in a decoration activity: “The one that is best decorated in pink will receive a prize. School is the goal of raising awareness among children, they are curious and ask questions ”, Sfeir pointed out.
Finally, he said the program of activities for the remainder of October will begin with a parade at the opening of the Student House 2022. He also invited all neighbors to wear their pink t-shirts.
Then on October 22 there will be a marathon on the Costanera with times to be confirmed, and on the 28th at the Knowledge Center we will talk about cancer. The pink month will close with an activity on the Costanera scheduled for October 30th with a caravan of cars, bicycles, skateboards and a small festival with live music.
