Laksana’s Latest Innovation, Double Decker Bus With Additional Sleeper Class Cabin

PO Harapan Jaya released the latest double-decker bus manufactured by Karoseri Laksana from Semarang, Central Java. This double-decker bus is the latest innovation from Laksana which uses additional special sleeper class cabs like combi suites buses.

This new group is called the Legacy SR3 Neo Double Decker – Combi. In fact, this bus was launched at the GIIAS 2024 event, last July. However, at that time this double-decker bus had a bright color, namely white. And now that it has officially become part of the PO Harapan Jaya fleet, this bus will also be sporting its trademark orange and yellow livery.

This bus is likely to be used for the Surabaya-Jakarta route. The bus also looks stylish with several chrome accents on the central part of the body. Interestingly, there are no pictures of several horses that are the identity of this PO from East Java. This bus also looks cleaner.

Looking at the interior, this bus uses mostly standard seats with additional arm and leg rest features. On the lower deck there are two sleeping seats behind the cabins of the crew and the driver.

What is interesting is at the top, where there are special sleeping class cabins like the combi suites buses. This sleeper cabin is at the rear of the standard seat cabin. The sleeper class cabin has two levels with approximately 8 seats. This sleeping cabin also appears to have a lower floor than the standard cabin.

PO Harapan Jaya named this sleeping cabin as Grand Suites class. This class is equipped with an AVOD screen feature for passenger entertainment. In addition, there are also CCTV cameras for security.

Oh yes, this bus uses a main chassis made in Sweden, which is the Volvo B11R – 450HP (I-Shift) Euro5.
