“Last night, the reorganization of services affected the delivery room. Service has been back to normal since 8 a.m. this morning. The neonatal care unit suspended its activities at 11:30 pm last night and will resume its services on Monday, December 20, at 8 am ”, indicated by email on Saturday Hélène Bergeron-Gamache, spokesperson for the CIUSSS de l’Ouest-de-l ‘Island of Montreal.
Emergency cases will still be taken care of in the unit during this closure.
“Thanks to the collaboration of the other CIUSSS birthing centers, the birthing unit of the LaSalle Hospital and that of the St. Mary’s Hospital Center, services will be maintained for the clientele,” added the spokesperson.
