The Los Angeles Lakers (25-25), without the figures LeBron James and Anthony Davis, surprised by beating the Boston Celtics (37-12), leader of the Eastern Conference, by 114 to 105, on a new day of the phase NBA regular.

Point guard Austin Reaves added 32 points and achieved the best number of his career with seven triples, as an Angel figure, well supported by Jaxson Hayes (10 assists) and D’Angelo Russell (14 assists) with 16 points each.
LeBron James was absent due to a left ankle injury, but the Lakers also did not have Anthony Davis due to an Achilles tendon problem, to which was added a series of hip cramps.
These absences suggested that the Celtics, the best team so far in the regular phase, would win easily, but the rest of the young Lakers squad had a different opinion.
Jayson Tatum scored 23 points for the Celtics, who nevertheless committed 15 turnovers. Boston, which started the season 20-0 at its TD Garden home, has lost three of its last five home games.
