“Liepāja has a special aura of nostalgia in my experience, but the slightly poignant memories and sense of loss contained in the song can definitely be experienced elsewhere,” says Arnis Rachinskis, the group’s singer.
“The song came about in a flash, the melody and lyrics came together almost simultaneously, you could say – it came by itself, you didn’t have to look for anything in particular.
However, even though we wrote it quickly, the composition lay on the shelf for a while, until it really came to life with the participation of Kristine Paže’s wonderful voice – the last missing component for the story to become a moving picture.”
The group “Laika Suns” covers both pop songs and loud rock guitars, founded in 2013 in Riga. Arnis Rachinskis, Kārlis Jost, Elvijs Pārpucis and Jānis Burmeisters play in it.
“Laika Suns” has so far published several albums and singles, the best known of which are the songs “Pavasari”, “Atceres Rīga summer nights” and “Nav kur iet”. Kristīne Pāže is a singer from Riga, known as the soloist of the group “Kautkaili”.
